Pram Race 2011

It’s that time of year again, yes it’s the East Bergholt Pram race 2011!

This was our entry, a 4.5 metre great white shark made entirely from scratch by our team in my garage. If you’re not familiar with the race it involves a run around the village of East Bergholt with the lucky person in the pram consuming half a pint of beer at each of the five pubs. Normally that’s not too much of a challenge, but this year our poor friend James was drinking while lying upside-down on his back in the belly of the beast.

Things got worse for him when the prams structure finally gave out 100 metres from the finish line, nose-diving the front of the shark into the ground. Luckily he survived and we able to limp over the finish line.

Sadly we didn’t retain our fancy dress crown this year, the prize went to Charlie’s Angels, but fear not we will be back next year with something better, but probably not bigger.

Ps. If you’re wondering, yes, it is a fake leg!
